Manchester United United have been extremely busy already in the transfer market, signing Hargreaves, Anderson and Nani this week.
David Gill claimed yesterday that the club had finished the majority of their transfers, but there was still a possibility of further signings.
One player who they might sign is Blackburn’s Pedersen, who Ferguson has had his eye on for a while. Pedersen’s agent Rune Hauge has today confirmed that United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs are all keen to sign him.
“All the big five follow Morten’s situation.” said Hauge.
“We are in contact with the clubs. Morten plays in a special position on the left and can play as well both in 4-3-3 and 4-4-2.”
“The big ones might not have space for players of his type and we might see players in that position leave some of the clubs the coming weeks.”
Meanwhile, many would say that Manchester United need to invest in a striker this summer, with Saha injury prone, Solskjaer past his best, and Smith still failing to cement his place in the first eleven. Bolton man, Nicholas Anelka, who has played for Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City in the past, has been linked to the reds.
Reports in both England and France suggest the 28 year old would relish a move away from Bolton, as he considers that club “too small” for him.
Also, after snatching Chelsea target Anderson from under their noses, Porto are keen to take their pick of the United youth as part of the deal. It has been reported today that Porto would like to sign either Rossi or Pique, who are both hot prospects for the future.
