Rafa Benitez has searched far and wide to find a striker who can help Liverpool once again compete for the league, and it was reported he had settled his attention on Charlton’s Darren Bent.
However, today it appears that Spurs will be the team to sign the striker for an expected £12-£14 million.
Charlton had been keen to cash in on Bent when West Ham offered a massive £18 million. However Bent turned down the deal, and it is likely the player will now leave for a more reasonable price.
