Chelsea Could Face Valencia

Chelsea’s situation went from bad to worse this weekend when skipper John Terry was substituted at half time with a suspected fractured cheekbone. Chelsea went on to draw 0-0 at home to Fulham, dropping to 8th in the table.

Chelsea play Valencia in the Champions League on Wednesday, and Terry is eager to play.

“John Terry underwent an operation on Sunday morning on a depressed fracture to his right cheekbone,” read a statement on the club’s official website.

“His availability for Valencia will be assessed over the next few days following the surgery.”
